Plural noun: nomads: a member of a people that has no fixed home but wanders from place to place.
We are casting for interactive characters with amazing costumes, immersive actors, variety performers with a unique act or skillset, pyro artists, or magicians. No flow/hula hoopers or aerial acts. All races, gender expressions, body types are encouraged to audition. A main ethos of North Coast is “Celebrate Our Differences”
Variety acts: Magicians, performance artists, high-level cirque ground acts; burlesque dancers with an unusual angle or look; FANTASTICAL performers and characters with weird, wonderful, dreamy, futuristic or technology-heavy costumes, and out-of-this-world themes rather than vintage looks; interactive performers who aren’t shy to invite festival attendees into their world. Acts must be able to hold character and/or perform skills for entire length of two (2) three hours shifts. No flow, aerial, or hulahoopers. We are not looking for musical performers.
Please fill out the form below which requires a link to a youtube video submussion of you in your costume doing 2 minutes of character work and any special performances/skills you’d like to showcase. You can send in multiple submissions if you have different characters that perform different acts. When sending your video, please remember we want to view your character as our fans would see it. Head-turning costumes, strong character work, and amazing skills is what we’re looking for.
